not all point cloud data is going to have geospatial data and/or have adequate absolute accuracy but it is relatively accurate. we need survey tools to allow for user alignment of point cloud data.

when creating a hybrid model i have a good quality imagery model. i also have a point cloud model that has good relative accuracy but is not aligned geospatially. only way to merge the datasets is to process the imagery to align with the geospatial orientation of the point cloud.
