Currently iTwin Splats are terrible. My most recent splat does NOT align with the mesh or generated tie points which is strange, as I would assume the splats hang off the tie points! Pot Shot, Lixel, Nerf Studio are all producing better splat results from the same data. 3DGS will overtake photogrammetry meshing very quickly, if you want to stay in the game, will need adapt and become the leader in 3DGS quickly!
