Currently, in order to improve efficiency, we have been capturing scenes not with still images but using action cameras such as GoPro 9 and Insta360 Ace Pro 2, shooting 4K video at 0.5-second intervals and experimenting with various methods of frame extraction through video frame import. However, I am contacting you because we still encounter the long-standing issue of out-of-focus images, which we would like to eliminate. Naturally, HDR, shake reduction, and full-lens correction have all been disabled in the settings.
Previously, when using PostShot to create GS, I noticed an option to delete blurred frames during video extraction. It seems that Agisoft Metashape also implements this feature.
Recently, we are tasked with shooting a site that requires high precision, making it crucial to remove out-of-focus frames. Upon investigation, I found that it is possible to extract such frames to some extent using Python and OpenCV’s Laplacian variance method. Since this is something I can manage on my own, I would like to request that this functionality be integrated into iTwin Capture Modeler.
